About Victoria Coffin

Currently Victoria Coffin is the principal lawyer with Coffin Law Office. She practices in the areas of corporate/commercial law, international trade law, wills/estates and real estate law.

 

Victoria Coffin has a wealth of experience providing legal and business advice regarding domestic and international matters both as a lawyer and as a diplomat. She has a record of excellence in advising on matters of trade law and Canadian law as it applies in international business development.  As a diplomat and business person, she has almost 10 years experience in business development, primarily in South America and across Canada.

Her experience includes advising the Alberta Government as a solicitor for Alberta Justice. She is a former diplomat with the Government of Canada and was a member of Canada’s negotiating team to the Free Trade Area of the Americas.  Ms. Coffin was posted to the Embassy of Canada in Chile where she was the trade policy adviser to Canadian businesses. Before becoming a diplomat she held a number of positions in technical sales, and in marketing in electronics and Information Technology.

Ms. Coffin is a member of the Law Society of Alberta. She holds a J.D. and graduated with distinction and with five awards from the College of Law at the University of Saskatchewan. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours from Queen’s University (Kingston, Ontario) with specializations in technology and international business.
